Preservation

Our interest in the Fairgrounds was spurred into action by the prospect of commercial development of the site.  A central goal of our endeavor is to preserve the property for community use in perpetuity, so that these prospects can never arise again and the land remains a community resource.  We also interpret the preservation imperative as a mandate to protect, steward and promote the proliferation of native plant and animal species in the rich natural habitats represented on the 57-acre parcel.
