Celebrate Earth Day at the Great Barrington Fairgrounds and learn about the Community Garden Project!

10:00 – 12:00 – Work the garden
12:00 – 3:00 – Entertainment & Garden Advice

Come grow with us! The GBFG Community Garden Project will connect people of all levels of expertise and income by providing access to the resources, skills, and information necessary to grow their own food. Expert gardeners will be on hand to lend their expertise and advice.

Lease a 4′ x 10′ raised bed filled with rich, loamy organic soil.
Thanks to the generous underwriting of the Berkshire Co-op Market and Guido’s Fresh Marketplace, we are able to offer beds at half price for this requesting sponsorship.

Celebrate our Miraculous Mother Earth at The Great Barrington Fairgrounds with Community Garden Celebration. Join me collecting clothing to recycle into a giant POTHOLDER RUG onsite.

Bring your discarded t-shirts, sweatshirts, wool sweaters, and denim jeans! Be sure they are machine washed and dried prior to the event. (It is ok if the wool sweaters shrink!) We will cut them up and weave a beautiful rug from all the clothing donations. We will weave a GIANT Potholder Rug from used clothing to symbolize our tight knit community – Our whole greater than the sum of our parts – You know – WE ALL NEED EACH OTHER ~
